New Brain, specifics?

I just picked up a brain (Trachyphyllia) friday, It is doing very well so far, just curious if there are any detials that i should know about. He is close to the light, i dose ca, phtyo, micro-vert, coral-vite, liquid gold... I also stuck a small piece of brian shrimp plus in is outside tecticles last night. Is there anything else i should be doing?

nope, sounds good to me. Maybe move it down a little bit as it is a new specimen, and a low light one at that. Give it time to adjust.

Its in my 12 gal with only 30watts above it, so i figured it should be clsoe to the light, is that correct?

no it should be on the sand bed. they seem to do better there

I keep mine in the sand also,I read that their tissue could get damaged from the rocks.I'm no expert its just what I read while searching before I bought mine.

The important thing is to make sure the delicate tissues do not get torn. It can be mounted anywhere you like so long as this requirement is met. BTW, I have had mine on a rock for nearly ten years, no problems--but I have it slightly higher than the surface of the rock=no contact with rock surface.

one more thing though, brian shrimp is my little brother! :lol:

BRINE shrimp is considered "potatoe chips", not very nutritional.
I would go with something more meaty like silversides, squid, regular shrimp, scallops, fish, etc.
