New BTA moved...

Quick question BTA's that are new in the tank would they move back under a rock (where there is no light)? For 48hrs it was doing fine eating and just full of life. Now just moved under the backside of a rock but still wave'n in the mid flow.....

Water check out 100% and I do have a RBTA that is just fine.

Any ideas here?

Its fairly common. The anemone has to adjust to all the different parameters and conditions. Some take longer than others, but just be patient and it will come back out.

What type of light was it under before/now?

BTA still under but now weak'n

With really no light.
I also have 2 others that are doing good.

still in the same spot. Its arms gotten slim but it does eat food and dumps now and than...
Thought it might be splitting but should not take this long.

Hi! How is your bleached one doing? It's been a while since I've heard from you!

Oh - and I would say this one should be fine still - maybe he just likes it there for now? If it's eating - I think it's probably good to go - but not sure...

livingcorals,

I just had the exact same thing happen to me...it stayed under a rock for 3 days before it decided to come out, now he has returned to his original size / shape and is eating and appears to be happy. I heard someone say they are changing the water in their body, so they get really small to force it all out, then fill back up again.

Bleached BTA has little more green come'n in. So far so good

Great! Mine too! almost a little yellow coming too... some neon green and a little yellow - but it's still small... Does yours hunker down during the day and get big at night? Mine does... almost backwards... Oh - it's also getting bigger purple dots on the tips!
