It is a lemon drop (or should say it was sold as), it's hiding its foot underneath the rock it's peaking out of. Makes my rainbow pale in coIor.

Now just need a nice red one, or red in color.

Actually bought it at our local frag swap from Frosty.

very nice!

can't believe you can find lemon drop at local swap meet... where is this gold meet! lol.. I'll fly there.

forget red, get yourself an original colorado sunburst or inferno. They will contrast the lemon drop so nicely. if you must get red, get a sherman rose bta

and can you do us a big favor and report back when your lemon drop grows big. Does it retain full yellow body or show some orange/red?

I have a "lemon drop" but it grew quite a bit of orange over the year. got it as a pure yellow/green frag. When it bubble, it looks pure yellow. not when it's got long stripe tentacles.

I'm wondering if all of these high end BTAs develop some red when they grow in size

Yes I was pretty amazed too. I believe the vender is out of Ohio.

Pictures don't do it justice.

I have a sherman that recently split. Here are some pics but just to give you an idea. These are by far the best rose out there (pics don't do justice) and they have a dark purple base that looks black almost. I love it and it's actually grown to be my favorite bta so far. He also loves flow! As M0nkie stated, work on getting some nice high ends to compliment you lemon drop. I also have a coral collection flame tip and inferno coming in next week. Welcome to the addiction of btas! By the way, you lemon drop looks REAL, not like most which only the tips are yellow. Let me know if it ever splits I'll purchase the clone from you!

That is my daylight so no, I always run blues as it's healthy for the nems and corals. I think they actually prefer more blue than whites. If it was night mode with heavy blues all the rocks would be blue and the nems would be more vibrant looking. The pics were taken at I believe around 14k.

For picture purposes they will look more like their real color if you turn the blues off. Phone cameras have a hard time with the blues and everything looks like crap with blue light in pictures. I've been guilty of it myself. :D

I also run mostly blues for my corals, accept when picture taking. FYI if you turn the top of your phone to the left when taking pictures the pictures will be the correct orientation when viewed on a PC. Won't affect how you see them on your pone.
