New BTA

I picked up a small BTA yesterday (about 1' dia). Overnight he has crawled way down into a rock. Hoping he comes out within the next few days. Anyway he is the best shot I could get right now. The one Kessil I have right now is on the lowest intensity, 100% blue right now on the opposite side of the tank also. I have my MP10 on the left wall in front of rock about a 1/3" of the way down the wall to create flow in front of the tank. I don't know if this is too much for him it's on 25% on reef setting. It may be he is just so small that any flow is a lot to him.

Congrats on your new nem! He looks nice! Usually hobbists are not suggested to get small nems like this size since their survival rate is lower than larger ones. But yours looks nice and healthy. Take good care of it. It will grow to a nice one!

Thanks, so I did notice he was obviously ticked off in the container the LFS put him in and me trying to get him unstuck from it. But once he got into the tank his tentacles bubbled back up right away and he seems okay.

That's a nice sign for him. The small ones are more sensitive to environment changes, just make sure your lighting and flow are consistent. power head, filter intakes are covered with fine nets or sponge. Also make sure there is no aggressive fish in the tank. Cleaner shrimps also pick at small nems sometimes cause irritation.
