New bulbs for my 375(pics)

My 375 is due for new bulbs and I was thinking of switching to 14k rather than the 20k I have now. What is the best 14k bulb for the $ out there right now and where to get them?

DE or Hamilton? I like the PAR and look of the 14k Phoenix HQI. And illuming usually has them for a good price.

I am using 400 watt 20k XM. Not happy with the growth. I like the color but was thinking 14k would meet halfway. What do you think?

I was going to try out ReefOptics bulbs from ebay:

I'm currently using the EVC bulbs but about once a week one bulb won't hit the "blue" for the entire day (looks yellowish or pinkish), the next day it seems fine.

Anyway, for the price and good reviews I was going to try the reefoptics.

I used to volunteer at the Penn State Reef tank and that's what is used there. The tank is in great shape and gets amazing growth so I would recommend the EVC bulbs. They got some of the best results from Sanjay's tests, which is why he installed them in the PSU tank. Here's a place to find them.

I've used the 400 EVC Tech 14k bulbs. IMHO, the color and growth it gave to my corals was very good. I had Hamilton 14ks before that and I preferred the EVC Tech bulbs.

I agree, I am using 4x250w with Ham 14k on IC ballasts in L3 reflectors with 8x T5's and really like the color..

that tank looks great, i use phoenix 250 wt 14K on mine, in comparison my looks just around the same color as yours, but i also supplement with act"s and 10k pc's but i"m goingto switch my pc's to t'5s

My supplement is 8-54wt T-5 with the blue actinic.
