I jump in too keeping some soft corals and polyps. currently have a nova extreme 4x54 t5 fixture and the bulbs are at least 2-2.5 years old so i figured i would change them before i buy any corals. First question is: does it matter which set of bulbs i change first? actinic vs daylight? as far as the daylight bulbs go...everything i have read says get "full spectrum" bulbs....i seen one today that was full spectrum but it was rated at 6700k then there was another that was 18000k but it did not say full spectrum is one better than the other? how far after the first bulb change should i change the next set?

get 2 ati blue plus 1 attinic and a ge 6500
change them all and put a few layers of black screeing on top of the tank
after 5 days yank 1 layer off and 5 days later another and so forth
