Playing around with my new DSLR (Nikon d3100). Also playing around with white balance on RAW files. Clearly I've got a ways to go, but there are a few decent shots in here. Enjoy.

Right now, I adjust the WB on the raw files in capture nx (nikon's software) then make additional tweaks in photshop. Im running CS3 which is too old to work with the raw files.

Nice photos Jackson! Check Adobe Lightroom. Awesome program. Easy to use but if you need some help with it let me know. I'm a pro photographer and use it all the time.

I am looking for a new camera, but every time I ask a sales rep about WB they dance around the question, and I really don't understand enough about it so it's difficult to make a decision. I guess it's time to visit a real camera store and not the local electronic box stores...

I have found the best WB setting is at 10000K.

+1 for light room. It is a great RAW editor.

If you are shooting in RAW you don't need to worry about the WB it can all be altered in Light Room to suit your needs.

I'm playing around with Lightroom 3.3 now (which works with my raw files - w00t!). It's pretty slick. If I can't get work to upgrade our software, I may just buy lightroom for myself.
