HI there.

We just purchased this clam yesterday and this just started looking like this today. Although i did not notice it when i bought it maybe it was there.

Should i be concerned?

Also what species is it. I am fairly new to clams. It has 5 shutes on the shell.

Thanks
Lisa

If you look on the right side towards the back. It looks like it is scrunched up and turning up.

We'll i think i found the issue. I pulled of a baby carpet looking nem right off the shute directly under where it was looking a little crinkled up. Seems un crinkled now.

There is another little nem on one of the other shutes farther down that i have to get off but i am trying to figure out how to do it and not kill the nem. They look like little Stichodactyla tapetum's. They aren't manjo's or aptasia and they do have a pink foot and very colourful.

Otherwise hopefully that was the problem and i will give it a couple days to see how it reacts.

You don't have to take the anemone off unless it is bothering the clam. He will probably move after a while anyway.

100 % squamie, do you have a top down shot?

and out of curiousity, are you running any phos remover?

i'm kepping my fingers crossed too :)

We'll all looks good now. When the lights came on there were no crinckles or up turning. He is getting a little flow that blows the mantle up abit but nothing major.

I will try for a top down shot this evening.....

And no i am not surrently running it i normally do but after reading some threads about that i am not sure if i want to anymore.:(
