My new deresa has been in the tank for about one month. Today it looks as if it is opened a little wider than normal, kind of like gaping open a little. I recently added a maxijet mod, are clams sensitive to higher flow? It is sitting on the sandbed, is this okay?
I don't see any snails, but I was wondering if any other fish besides sixline wrasses will control pyramidellid snails?
One more thing to mention, the little tube that normally sticks out of the mouth of the clam is kind of leaning a little.
I don't know much about clams, this one is my first one, along with a crocea, which looks great. The crocea is up on the rocks higher in the tank.
Thanks
Valerie

the only way to relly tell is if you can post a pic...

clams usualy like flow, but i would say make shure the Mj isint pointing directly at it

yes, it should be fine on the sand

what kind of lights do you use???

My digital camera is on loan to my sister... no pics.

I have 2x250 20K hqi w/ 2x110 vho actinics.... lighting is not the problem.
