New Clam Owner!!!!

i just got a clam for free!!!!! well as happy as i am i dont know that much about them. i have 3x250w mh and 8x39w t5 over a 215. do i need to place them a special direction? any help would be great the lil clam is in your hands. lol

You have to figure out what type of clam it is, crocea, maxima, derasa, squamosa, gigas. All of these have different lighting and substrate preferences.

i was told that it was a derasa. nice blues and turquoise around the edges of the clam and the middle part of it is sandy tan color.
