I'm new to clams, just got my first one approximately 2 weeks ago. It's a Crocea. Just thought I'd show him off a bit. I never thought a clam could be cute, but this guy is definitely adorable
(sorry thats the girl in me talking). It's 3" long, and I hope to see plenty of new growth in time! So far, so good. It opened up the second I took it out of the shipping box, no evidence of snails, good mantle extension. It's so perty! Don't mind the grain of sand on it. My Kole tang has a bad habit of spewing sand around, but it gets blown off with my trusty turkey baster any time I see it on him.
I've got it under 2x250 HQI MH 10k bulbs, and two T5 actinic.
