new clown fish not eating yet.

So I got a new clown fish yesterday and so far he spending its time on one end of the tank swimming around up and down. It doesn't seem to be eating yet or interested in what I'm feeding. I trying a few different kinds of frozen mysis shrimp, a combo frozen food, and flake food. Does seem to be breathing fast but not deeply. I am measuring 0 ammonia so far. The tank has been cycled has hermit crabs and some corals in it for awhile.

So anyone think that is to be worried about yet or is it just a bit stressed right now adjusting to the new tank?

A new clown not eating is by itself nothing to worry too much about - some clowns can be fickle. When in doubt try feeding live foods like brine shrimp or tigger pods - usually they will go after those.

The thing to be a bit concerned about is the fast breathing. That could be a sign of either stress or a gill infection. Clownfish are especially prone to brook and velvet. I would keep a very close eye on this and get ready to treat the fish if this gets worse.

Where did you get the fish from? Is it wild or tank raised?
