Around two months ago I bought a pair of tank-bred oscellaris clowns. About 1 1/2 weeks ago one of the clowns died and I want to purchase another oscellaris in about a week.
My current clown is only 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 inches long. Is he old enough to change sex to a female or is he still a juvenile? I ask this because I know my LFS has oscellaris clowns that are either the size of mine or a little smaller - so would one of them work or do I absolutely have to buy one that is either significantly bigger or smaller? I would really like to get one of the smaller clowns if they won't fight to the death over dominence, but if not then that's fine.
