New Clownfish gone mad!

Hello everyone,

I'm a bit of a newbie at this, and I'm sure I'll learn a lot.

So I've recently purchased a clownfish as of yesterday afternoon. I acclimated by leaving the bag in the tank and mixed my water with the water in the bag and left it there for approx. 15 minutes. The fish showed no signs of discomfort while being put in the tank and seemed quite happy (though my firefish has yet to get used to him).

I woke up this morning and noticed my clown wasn't moving very much, at first near the top of the tank by my powerhead and moved down to the sand, moving only to keep himself upright in the tank. I read that they have unusual behaviour while sleeping, so I waited about an hour to see what happened.

I turned on the lights in my tank, and now the clownfish is going haywire! Darting to and from every corner of the tank. I tried feeding him to see if I could get a different behaviour from him, but he ignored it completely. His colours from what I've seen look fine.

I only have a 6 gallon tank, but I was told they would be okay if they were alone. I do have a Firefish as well but he rarely comes out. When he does, he just sits in one spot.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Waht sort of clown is it. Some species can be a bit twitchy and get spooked when the lights go on and off. Saddleback tend be very prone to this.

It's an Ocellaris Clownfish.

He seems to be just fine now. My Firefish has even warmed up to him and doesn't seem to mind him keeping close. They seem to like sticking together.
