I got a pair of clowns today at my lfs they told me what kind they were but I have forgotten, next time I go back I will confirm and update, I have done a lot of research on clowns and am pretty confident about keeping them healthy and happy, but I would like some feed back from the reefing community, I would like to know your opinions on feeding, and what they're behavior is like, they are currently aggressive toward each other but I now that this is normal because thet are the same size, they are also the same kind of clown, any help appreciated

I'd like to piggy back on this. (not sure if that's frowned upon)

I just bought two Semi-Picasso's from a LFS. The tank had about 15 clowns in there with 2 being pretty aggressive towards the others. I bought two that were being picked on, they got a long just fine for the first few days but one has become very aggressive towards the other. I've been feeding multiple time per day to try and keep them full but that hasn't helped the aggression.

Suggestions?

Semi-Picasso's, identical in size, 93g cube. The aggressive clown has been hosting a chalice coral since introduction, the other clown was side by side in the chalice until the aggression started.

Clowns don't host.

Feeding multiple times a day will only cause issues with your water chemistry. You're just dirtying your water. They'll work it out.

you can even do large groups if you know how they were breaded. as long as the clownfish you get are raised together from birth you will generally be ok. however most pet stores (unless they are breeding the fish) don't know how all of the clowns were raised. thats why i suggest if you want to do a school buy directly from a breeder. you can check out Seafanreef.com or seaandreef.com they are both great breeders.
