New Coral Farm build in Oz

Well we have almost finished the shopping phase of the setup now.

One thing we have started shopping for though is corals.... so happy

some of our mother colonies of acans too

We have been dosing kalk for over a week now and everything is looking pretty good. Going to be making some Pappone this coming week to start feeding the corals. I've also been reading about dosing vitamin C and the effects on polyps and zoo's especially. but also on the great effects it has on fragged corals, so we may start dosing VC next week too.

you said you were going to test calcium..are you not doing test regularly??

yea we are testing regularly but only the main prop systems as the other systems are just circulating atm. calcium is around 420. we are using kalk so far but thinking of getting a calcium reactor once we start our acro propogation

water in main prop tanks is fairly stable. KH has gone down from 12 to 8 in a week but pH is stable through the day at 8.33 and Calcium is around 420ppm

Still trying to locate some Vitamin C with just vitamin C in it, so havn't started dosing that yet.

We made a lovely frag/shipping table yesterday which is working beautifully (i get to try it out for shipping tomorrow, first time)

Mushroom is almost ready to go aswell. we puchased 20kg of crushed coral and are just waiting for all the "junk" to clear in the water. i'll post pics tomorrow.

ok update:-

forgot the camera's today so didn't get any photos. i will however tomorrow for you guys

here however is a photo of our wonderful frag/shipping desk. notice the nicec water well we have routed on each side to make sure we get rid of any water

mushroom tank is now setup and going nicely. we transfered all our mushrooms and rics to this tank and they all seem happy at this point. Ric's in australia are as rare as hen's teeth and are very sought after

All parameters are still stable. everything looks happy.

Xenia are propogating really well as are the acans. it's only been 2 weeks since the tanks have been fully up and running but be can't be more pleased with how everything is going.

Very nice build ! MY Good Friend Ronnie and I are Curently Doing the same Thing In Columbia SC USA.. We have just started this Venture as Well ! I'll get some pics and join in the fun .. nice ideas every one !!

xXReefXx we have 10 tanks in total which we calculate to be about 2500 litres. that includes 2 main prop tanks (glass) and the other 8 are fiberglassed marine ply/epoxy tanks
