Just a heads up for anyone whose interested. There's a new coral food on the market that has been getting rave reviews and my corals absolutely go crazy when I feed my tank. It's great for all corals and some have even reported amazing expansion after using it. It's called Coral Frenzy, an all in one food source for all of your corals. Below is a link with a bit of info on it.

Yes, they love it, but you must have enough current to move it throughout the tank. I have seen pics of other soft corals that went crazy with expansion after using it. LPS and SPS users seem to love it as well. I will try to get the before and after pics that I saw somewhere last month and post them.

"in a convinient spray dried formula"

so i take it it's not frozen then? is it like a powder or wafer or ?

thx! :D

I guess what I am looking for is I know and have read that zoanthids will have a feeding response to oyster eggs because of the size and it is a natural occurring food. But what I am looking for in this stuff is what is it about it that would make it illicit the feeding response from zoanthids that other foods don't....I guess it could be a topic of the week.

Azurel - I have been using this since I picked it up at the Coral Farmers Market in Cali last month.
I personally like it better than DT's Oyster Eggs because I don't have to worry about keeping it in the freezer, and my zoas react just the same.

Just like with Cycloe-eeze, I have used both the frozen and the powder and have seen no difference in the reaction my fish and corals go after it.

Is it even necessary to feed zoos? I've never fed mine and they still seem to be growing.

No, they do not require feeding.

Those of you that are using this new coral food, at what time of day do you add this to your tank?
Do you feed when the main lights are on? Or just actinics?

I was wondering the same thing. The two times that I have used it was when the lights were on. Some of my zoo's that I have never seen there mouths pucker out.....They are now since using the Coral Frenzy.

At the risk of starting up the "Do Zoathids need to be fed debate", I do a light feeding twice per week, once during the day, and once at night while the moon lights are on. I feed roughly every 3 to 4 days.
