Short version is a deep sea cold water reef the size of Vermont has been found off the east coast with what is believed to be “the "most extensive" ecosystem of Desmophyllum pertusum ever found within U.S. waters.”
Really interesting as they say it’s a cold water reef with no sun. I guess I never thought of stony corals as non-photosynthetic.
