New electric control panel

no, each plug is connected to two dedicated 20 amp breakers. Plus i don't even have enough on the tank that would even trip one breaker.

I'm no electrician...but are you saying you have essentially wired 2 separate circuits (each fed by a different breaker) together? I don't think that would be a good thing. It would be much better to have 1 circuit feeding 6 or so outlets and the other circuit feeding the rest.

I am not sure I understand. Are you running 20 amp wiring off a 20 amp circuit? Or did you wire the panel with 15 amp wiring and have it plugged into a 20 amp outlet?

I ask because we just ran a new 20 amp line for ours and the digital timer was $50 for the 20 amp digital timer.

let me clear this up.
I ran 12-2 wire from a 20 amp breaker to one GFCI receptical behind the tank. i ran that there from before when i redid the basement.
and just before i put in this new panel i ran another wire from another 20 amp breaker to another new receptical behind the tank.

so now i have two dedicated recepticals behind the tank. so even if the breaker at the house panel trips i still have half my panel under my tank that still has juice.

That couldn't have been cheap...

Wish you would've taken a pic with the front covers off. I would love to do something similar, but saw how much those timers are and all of the necessary hardware.

Yes the most expensive part were the timers, 3 x $29 but well worth the investment, you could just put regular recepticals where i have timers and just use cheap timers instead, that would cut the cost down $90.

even if i did take a picture with the plates off, you probably wouldn't have seen where most of the wires were going anyway.
it's just that if you know anything about wiring you shouldn't have a problem doing it..

The SS8C is only rated for 15V i didn't want to give him the 20v model and pay that much when he didn't need it.

I've updated my panel and got rid of the mechanical timers, mine like everyone else was having trouble with them breaking down, so i added the intermetic dgital outdoor timers that have two plugs each and also added two DJ Centers. i updated my webpage so you can see what i did and how i set it up, just goto my webpage under the DIY section and click on Electric panel.
