New Era foods

I'm interested in trying them out but want to learn a bit more first. The comment above about how they hold up and stay or come off the ring is a big one for me. Only a few of my fish will eat anything from the surface so if something floats up most of my fish will ignore it. So while I like the idea I would like to learn more about how well they stay put.

I'm not so concerned about phosphates and nitrates because as Jason points out that's a given with any food source and something we just have to manage. It's left over food or food that my fish will ignore that I'm concerned about.

These are a nice idea and I'm always looking for a nice way for my tangs to graze.

They sink after they get chewed up enough to fall off the holder. Then my fish just go crazy at the bottom of the tank.

I was just at Reef Monsters in Mesa today and bought the Era Marine grazer. They had the whole line too. Pellets, flakes, etc. I got a sample a few months back from the FRAG meeting and had been wondering where I could get them as well. Each disk doesn't last even half a day in my tank. My fish go nuts over it.

I've found that if you can turn them so they sit flat they hold up a lot longer than if you stick them to the side of your tank. My tangs went absolutely nuts over these things with my other fish also joining in on the pieces that fell off when my rabbitfish bit into them.

I have no idea how you could turn them to be flat. I have nothing in my tank that the suction cup would hold to except the glass.
