New Firefish Goby- Strange Behavior?

I have a 29 gallon with 30lb of live rock, a small CUC, duncan head coral, and a royal gramma. I added a firefish goby yesterday morning. Once I put him in the tank, he immediately bolted under a rock. I can see him just fine. But he isn't moving much. He isn't breathing heavy, and shows no signs of distress. Is this normal?

Mine did the exact same thing. Came out the next day. Now he owns the tank.

Totally normal. When I pulled mine out of QT and added her to the DT, she didn't come out for 3 days. whiteshark is lucky, mine is a little scaredy fish and hides most of the day.

Yep......Perfectly normal. My Purple Firefish in my 28g Nano hid for a day and now is the boss in the tank. Always out and about defending his 12" virtual cube.

Agree with the others - perfectly normal. They are timid fish, but he will come around. I've had mine for 3 months now, and he is finally getting over his skittishness.

I hope mine comes around. I put her in first so that she would feel more secure. Then I added the clown and she hid. After a few weeks she started coming out more and more. Then I added the Tang and now she hides all the time again.
