New fish for my 65G mixed reef?

hey guys,
i have a 65G red sea max mixed reef... fairly heavily stocked sps, lps, and softies.
i currently have 2 small/med clowns and a juvenile 6 line wrasse (fairly timid).

i'd love to add a slightly larger fish to the mix and considering the following...

foxface rabbitfish
kole tang
tomini tang
coral beauty angelfish
ORA mandarin dragonet

any thoughts? are these just too large or reef-unfriendly for my setup?

I personally would skip the 2 tangs that the rabbitfish -- just too big for a 65.

IME with coral beauties they love fleshy LPS.

The mandarin will have issues getting enough food with the 6 line in there. Even the ORA will still need live foods, their track record hasn't been the best.

The coral beauty could work

Have you ever kept one?

This is what a coral beauty can/will do to fleshy LPS.

the red sea max is a nice tank. however it's too small for any species of tangs. even the smallest tang (tomini, kole, etc) require at least 4 feet of length.

there are lots of other fish you can pick. in general dwarf angels aren't reef safe. you may try one but prepare to have a hard time getting him out. i would recommend against even trying.

what about a sandsifting goby? the diamond watchman goby (also called orange spotted) or the gold head sleeper goby are good choices for reef tanks. you may also try reef-safe wrasses. i have a red head solon fairy wrasse and it's truly beautiful and adds a lot of colors to the tank. its behavior and swimming pattern are also very interesting. the only thing is, your tank might be a bit small for it as liveaquaria recommends a minimum of 75 gallons. check out the rest of the reef-safe wrasses here.

a cardinalfish will also be great for your tank, but it depends on whether you like fish that move around more since cardinals are relatively stationary. just one suggestion, if you ever decide to get a bangaii cardinal, try to get an ORA tank raised one, as bangaii cardinals only exist in the bangaii island in indonesia, and they are facing extinction from over-collections for our hobby. try to protect the species!

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll look into those fish.
I already have a 6 line wrasse, will he be an issue with any of the above? Overall he has been pretty timid since I have had him for 6 months.

oh i forgot you already had a 6-line wrasse. in this case it's not a good idea to add peaceful wrasses as the 6-line wrasse often harasses them.

toddrtrex, that's a brutal video to see. i think i'll pass on the angel.

i'll check into the goby, orchid dottyback, and royal gramma.

so no other wrasses can go with the 6 line?

Drop the 6 line they tend to be trouble, the other fish you want like a mandarin and any reef safe wrasse, compete for food and will end up fighting in 65gallons.

Im dropping to a 3' 75 gallon and this is my initial list I havent looked it over to in depth yet:

Midas blenny
Zebra catalina goby
Orange lined cardinal fish
Purple dottyback
Red/green or spotted mandarin
Neon goby
Mckoskers wrasse or potters wrasse

Catalinas are not tropical fish and will die within a few months at tropical reef temps. Best not to get them unless you can maintain your tank at or below 72.

Excellent idea

Midas blenny
Zebra catalina goby requires cool water
Orange lined cardinal fish
Purple dottyback incompatible with a flasher wrasse and aggressive in general
Red/green or spotted mandarin
Mckoskers wrasse or potters wrasse
