New fish on the block

What is the average acclamation of a new fish in tank? Thought the mystery wrasse was shy but watched a yellow eye tang tracking it in the rocks. I would assume it's normal but not sure what else you can do. I added a fire fish as well but they hide anyway

Depends on the type of fish and individual fish.

Clowns = 2 seconds
Lawnmower blenny = a few days
Orchid dottyback = 2 days
Yellow watchman goby = still hiding and flighty two months after introduction

Thought a mystery wrasse was tougher but it's getting abused. Hope the initiation is fast and they all get along

I always use an acclimation box for new additions. Cuts down on aggression and allows everyone to "get to know each other" without injuries. New additions usually stay in the box for a few days.
