On Monday, I was able to obtain a breeding pair of seahorses, and today I picked up a beautiful lionfish (no, they are not in the same tank.)
The seahorses are a male/female pair of h. erectus. The pics are not great, but they haven't been very sociable or interested in exploring the tank, so this is what I've got so far. They are eating frozen well. The first pic is the male, the second pic is the female.
The lionfish isn't the least bit reclusive, and I actually had to back up my camera because it wouldn't take the pic for being "too close." He's not eating frozen, but showed a great interest in it tonight, so I'm sure it will just be a short matter of time.
If anyone can give me a positive ID on the lion, I would appreciate it. I think it is a red volitan, but could be mistaken. The fins are very long, thin and delicate looking, not like some of the very wide fins I have seen.
