New fish suggestion to replace cosmetus wrasse

As above, I had to put my beloved cosmetus wrasse out of its misery today. It hadn't been eating for a few weeks and it was old, so think it was just its time. Completely gutted as it was by far my favourite fish in that tank. I'm not wanting to replace it very quickly but was interested in what people might add in its stead? so something that won't get bigger but doesn't need to fill the same roll that it did. I don't have tangs or angels, just a mix of halichoeres, fairy and flasher wrasse (I do love wrasse) plus a little bellus, blenny and a couple of gobies. Preferably not yellow or red as the tank is dominated by that already. Just something interesting, maybe a couple of smaller species. So what do you think?

Would love an Lineatus but its out of my price range unfortunately. Have always considered a Cirrhilabrus rubrimarginatus, bit like a poor mans lineatus.
