New fish with resident Anemone

I have questions.....
I have a huge softball size anemone that has been in my 34 gallon tank for some time. My son has decided to add a royal gramma, a lawn mower bennie and a fire fish (peaceful). Any thoughts about the new additions with this huge anemone? Are the fish smart enough to stay away?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Not ignoring you - just don't have any personal experience with that nem...

Are you sure its from the florida gulf?

A pure guess, but if it came from FLA, it might very will be a "condy" anemone. Just like any anemone, it capable of eating your fish. And if memory serves (( been many many years since I've had a condy )) they are pretty sticky.

Yes there are some anemones that are more aggresive than others put for the most part your fish should know better. Its kidda like how a dog wont eat bad food, somehow they just know. Keep an eye on it but I think you will be ok !!

I wouldn't bet on the fish "just knowing." Plenty of people have lost fish to mismatched community tanks with anemones. Carpets seem to take the cake for the most likely to eat fish, but condylactis, assuming that's what it is, are known to be fish eaters too.
