New fish!

Moved On
Well, this has been a huge ordeal. I have been dealing with this guy for weeks now with my fish order, having issues etc etc, but I won't get into that. So I finally got my fish
2" queen angel
2.5" french angel
2" doctorfish tang

They arrived in a normal package, no warning or anything. I couldn't find a heat pack either. But they were all swimming around fine. I put them in a bucket and began acclimating them to my 30b QT tank. The french is the biggest and gorgeous! I am still making sure its a french, seems to be, the queen is a little beat up looking, but should heal ok. And the doctorfish tang, well look at the pic...

Its a rock beauty angel! WOW how do you mess that up? Well I have no choice but to keep it. I hope there isn't too much aggression, especially in a 30b QT tank! Once in the 210g, they should be fine, but that is 6 weeks away! I may have to divide the QT tank up into sections with eggcrate. We'll see how the aggression goes. All fish are tiny! Once acclimated, I will try and feed them some mysis later. They look very active and healthy, minus the queens fins a little beat up (all fish were in seperate bags FYI).

Just added them to the display. They all are swimming in the current and seem to be loving it! Here is the best pic I could get of them with my phone, I really need to get a camera, but I'd rather spend the money on fish! For size comparison, those pipes are 1.5"! These angels are tiny!!! The french is actually a little beat up as well, the rock beauty seems to be the best condition wise. Rock beauties are supposed to be a finicky fish right? Hope he eats, maybe seeing the other angels eat will help him learn to eat. I will be feeding them mysis, emerald entree and algae sheets multiple times a day, since smaller angels need lots of algaes and feedings many times a day! Also, can anyone ID my french angel? Just to make sure its a french? I always go by the tail, if its more circular especially with the yellow, it seems that way but the end of the tail is ragged and can't tell.

They look nice :) Too bad about the doctorfish mixup, but hey, hopefully you get a refund for it?

The water in the bucket looks really brown, ick, why is it so dirty? Was that what they were shipped in?

The bags were green! I expected that. They were green when our club did a GP with them, I'm guessing ammonia. I doubt it I'll get a refund, the doctorfish was $8 and the rock beauty is $18, so it's not likely. As long as the angels get along and eat well/are healthy, I'm fine with it. I still would like a doctorfish tang, as adults they are gorgeous.

That queen actually looks more like a juvi passer. I got my queen about that size and it looked different than yours. Hard to say from the pics above without seeing the fins.

That's it, I'm buying a damn fish today.....this is bs.

Great looking fish and I'd rather have what you got than what you ordered.....have you seen one of those at the 5" or more mark? Very beautiful.

Awesome fish DPS! I like how they're all babies-it'll be cool to see them grow up and change into adult coloration (and for us to see it in pictures :D).

About the screw up-that sucks. Also I hope the others are what they were supposed to be especially as so many juvi angels look so similar to one another. Can you imagine a 3 for 3 screw up in I.D. :)? Hopefully I didn't jinx you there lol.

Yea that looks like a Queen to me and that is a French Angel for sure. Thats one good replacement for a doctor tang.

Make sure you treat for flukes as french angels always come with them and feed lots of nori.

Nice fish!I saw a queen in the lfs near my house today that was about 7" and they wanted 199.00 for it.congratualtions on your new fish.

All very beautiful fish. I too have a new fish which is a 2.5" Male Blue Throat Trigger, and tomorrow will be a Blue Spotted Angel and then on saturday a Black Velvet Angel.

did you get these fish from the guy in Florida? If I get back into the hobby (fully)( as I have a few little fish in the 45 gallon qt., just couldnt stop myself) I'm going to be buying a decent amount of fish from him. CC
