Freezing will likely burst them or damage them to the point that they no longer work as intended. However, they could probably be freeze-dried, if you have access to a lyophilizer...
 
Thats what I figured., Bummer this food sounded promising. I may still try it on the 10-100 micron size. Ill go through most of it probably on my 180.

Storage: Sealed Jugs: Store in cool, dry place (22° C/ 72° F) away from sunlight. Shake well prior to
each use.

Given the recommended storage temps I highly suspect your right.
