Hi I'm setting up a fowlr tank 60x24x18 with a sump of 48x18x18. I have never done a sump before so not sure what the best way to go is it has 3 sections with baffles between them Any help would be great

Being that it is a FOWLR tank I would just leave the sections bare. A return pump and a heater is really all you need. Adding a protein skimmer and an ATO unit would definitely help, but that's up to you. Keep things simple. Don't overstock, don't overfeed, stir up or vacuum the substrate every now & then during a water change and you should be set IMO.

Thanks for the advice I think a protein skimmer is a must and I was also thinking about putting in a hydrastream 2 have any one had any dealing with these

I would definitely recommend a protein skimmer. Eventually you will want to put a couple of coral in there and you can't let your nitrate out of control. Better to think about long run. Protein skimmer is a must
