I just got mine 2 days ago but they're not opening as big as they were as the store, does anyone know why? I have up high in my tank

Ive heard too much or too little flow/light. Mine whent from pc to my 250 watt mh without an issue but im cutting the light period down a couple of hours a day so i dont bleach them out. As for the type Im not sure. If anyone can id that would be great. Thanks
