New GoPro video from Hawaii

@Bryan. I have a hero 2. The price was right for one to try. If I upgrade, I'd definitely go with one that has a LCD screen to watch what I filmed. Other than that I'm happy.

Thanks Jeff I was thinking of the gp3 white with wifi and use my ipad/iphone as the viewer. Thanks for the info.

The Lcd kit is around $170. The go pro 4 silver has a built in Lcd but I don't see them on sale anywhere. For our purpose the go pro 3 works great. I will likely wait next year.

@Bryan, I had the exact same ideas. I actually have a wifi backpak for the hero 2. I've learned a couple things that didn't work as I thought that changed my thinking.

Keep in mind 90% of my applications for the camera involve water. So these are just food for thought.

- the wifi doesn't work under water. I learned this while shooting tank videos at home, as soon as the camera is dunked I lose the preview on my phone.

- while snorkling in hawaii I got pretty jealous while I watched another gopro guy shoot a video, take a break and float in the ocean while watching what he just shot. If he didn't get what he wanted he just did it again. Obviously there were many more steps for me to get out, link the phone and repeat. There were lots of shots I would have done again after I watched the footage.

wow, cool video, loved the turtles, tangs and that great looking puffer! Any idea what type that was?

i bought the lcd display for the go pro and used it the first day i was in hawaii but it drained my battery way too fast so I didn't use it afterward.
