i have a 29g bio cube and its my first tank. someone recomended that i remove the bioballs and create a refugium in the center compartment, but as the center and pump chambers are conected at the bottom wouldnt that just fill up the pump chamber as well...or am i way off in thinking that a refugium has to be full of water? could a refugium just be ok with an overflow like it has now? would live rock better serve me in the center chamber? ive only had my tank running for about a month now..and im freaked out to put anything in it other than the snails that are in now for fear of it all just dying....can someone else with a 29g bio cube ease my fears and tell me it'll all be ok!!

ok so is it cycled have you tested your water make sure you take the bio balls out but have put nothing planning a refugium there though but the rubble ive hear works fine to if you are cycled go ahead get some snails

you already have snails good but get a red sea test kit sea where your levels are but if the fish store you go to can test your water i would do that to
