new hammer

Well i've tried many frogspawn and hammers but they eventually died in my tank. I was never been able to keep on long enough for it to sprout new heads. All of my parameters are good so it wouldn't be the problem. Usually one head starts to decay which causes all the others tissue to recede. Is there anything I could do to help it stay healthy?

Maybe more careful handling when placing them into the tank (or on the LFS's part when they bag it for you). Euphyllia are very susceptible to tears in their delicate tissue, and often times this leads to brown jelly disease, or other infections. Are they getting too much flow on your tank?

IMO hammers are impossible to kill. i injured mine so bad, its skeleton poked through its closed head, and it looked like crap. (was redoing rockwork) it didnt die tho. now about a year later its getting nice and big (6" x 3") (it was 3" x 2" when i got it)
