new heater idea ?

Has anyone ever used or thought about using a heater element out of a water heater ? I had a heater failure within 3 weeks of buying one. I have read alot of threads about same failures with almost every other brand. Here is link to spa heater.

I'm not sure, but I would think that the saltwater would be more corrosive to the metal on these heaters than the freshwater that they're meant for.
