I was wondering where you guys meet and what you do at your meetings. How close to Memphis are your meetings? If i am a few hours away i might make it down for a few meetings.

i dont think any of our meetings is close to memphis.....most meets are in members home, where people chill, talk geeky reef stuff, trade frags, and a topic of discussion......and 3 meetings happen at our LFS....where there are raffles for some nice equipment, group-buys, special discounts, guest speakers....basically, a lot of cool stuff!!!... MTRC is one of a kind, i love this club!

You care certainly welcome to join us at meetings. The West Tennessee Marine and Reef Aquarium Club (WTMRAC) may be closer to you. They have meetings as well.
At our meetings we generally have a salt water related topic (such as calcium and alkalinity supplementation in reef aquaria) and some food and hang out. We sometimes frag corals, and sometimes have some door prizes. Every few months we have a meeting at an LFS where there is typically a raffle in addition to the topic, and some sweet deals that the LFS offers on livestock and dry goods.
