Hello everyone I am new to posting here on RC. Just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Andrew and I am a glass artist, my wife Erika manages the business, and we have a new baby girl April.
Erika and I have been into reef tanks for about 3 years. We started out with a 29 gallon biocube, and graduated to a 72 gallon bow front about 2 years ago. After amazing growth in the 72, we started a 20 long frag tank. You know the drill the 20 long turned into the sump for the new 40 breeder. After realizing that there is not the market for steady frag sales in Albuquerque, the 40 eventually turned into an acan and mushroom tank. We also have a 10 gallon that gets setup temporarily for frags, quarantine etc.
My main interest is acans and we have a nice collection and are always looking for more. We have a bunch of zoas as well as duncans, dendros, blastos, brains, and a bunch more. We also have a nice collection of mushrooms, rics and yumas.
I am interested in meet ups, and would be willing to host some kind of meeting. I am good friends with Greysoul. Doug my wife and I went to a meeting a long time ago in the heights. It was a small turnout but a lot of fun.
I was thinking it would be fun to have a frag swap type meet up. I have a small 10g that is currently setup with a bunch of larger pieces that I was going to put on CL, but think some kind of swap / fragging demo get together would be a lot of fun. I also have a diamond trim saw, and other diamond equipment that work perfect for fragging coral. Let me know if anyone is interested, or if there is going to be another meet up at Fox and Hound. It would be nice to meet some fellow reefers.
