Hi everyone! I just got a new BTA. First time owner here. I placed him on a rock and he stayed and opened up. Looked good. Overnight he moved into this crevice. It's only been 24 hours. Should I just continue to let him do his thing?

He's just getting used to things. Leave him be. That he moved and attached to a rock is a good sign. He does look a little bleached but should recover. What type of light is it under?

He is under the stock lights of the biocube LED. He looked like this in the LFS. Advice??

I'm not familiar with the lights but time will tell. As with any new addition, keep the tank stable and let it settle in. It should get all the food it needs from the water column. It will move up the rocks if it needs more light.

When they are bleached it helps them to regain color and health by squirting mysis towards them a couple times a week, that will help it regain the zooxanthellae they need to process light into energy.
