We signed the paperwork yesterday and the movers will be there on Tuesday. The house is in a quiet neighborhood out where the city turns into the sticks. We're out around Reno and Westminister, near Choctaw. The HOA has a pool and I think a little park and it's only a few miles from the base. I think I'll have a 10-15min drive from my driveway to the parking lot, depending on traffic. I didn't get a pic of the front because I couldn't get my phone to shoot a good one in the dark. Here's the inside though

Looking left from the front door there is an office that will serve as our bird room and maybe an office

Look right from the door and there's a little hall past a half bath to the kitchen and the garage (on the right)

and the other two bedrooms and baths are nothing out of the ordinary. they fit the rest of the house. Oh, and i get a three car garage! It should be plenty of room for the three of us plus one more down the road.

Now I just have to figure out where the tank goes

Nice looking house. Are you getting a bigger tank?

Nope, the tank is actually going to be a difficult part of moving in. There aren't a lot of good places in the main part of the house for a tank. I was hoping to have a good place for my 90g, or a 120, so I could upgrade down the road, but I'll be confined to my 33g or my 40br. I'll probably set my cube up in the living room in the front, right corner. There are some good places in the entry way and another in the living room, but there aren't any outlets there, plus the light switches would end up covered. It's as if the builders knew I had a tank and were scheming against me! haha.
I have entertained the thought of trying to find a used Solana and stand to simplify my system and add some cleaner lines. I just don't know if I can find one or if I could afford it if I could.

Very nice Cody.
Thanks, Doug. I'm looking forward to watching yours come together.

Haha! I don't think that would fly, but my wife has given me the go ahead to take over the big tub in the back left corner as a water mixing station. Neither of take baths, especially in a mini swimming pool, so it's just open space. I get to keep my RO/DI filter and buckets there.

Dude, we will be practically neighbors. I live at about 10th and Westminster. Nice house by the way.

good area too
That's definitely why we're out there. I grew up near 29th and Anderson and love the that whole area. I used to run the whole area on my bike back in the day. I like being out far enough to see the stars, not hear all of the city noise, see the birds but be w/in a few minutes of stores and the like.

Tonight is the first night in the house. Our shipper delivered our stuff today and we got a lot unpacked. There's still a lot to do, but it is looking like a home little by little. I can't wait to see our finished product. It's always cool to see how an empty house looks when full.

sweet house Cody,

hope a tank finds its way in there somewhere
you always have creative DIY projects that are fun to read

There will definitely be a tank, no doubt about that. My 30 g and biocube are running at my moms place now. I will move them over when we get the box fortress whittled down some.
