was trying to find away to add a filter sock on my drain line but just didnt have the space. I didnt have any micro bubbles in the main tank but did have a lot of splashing from the drain. Ok this is what I came up with, I took my old overflow box and full it with LR and placed it under the drain line......

I think if u wouldve angled the drain pipe, it wouldve helped with the splashing

I tried putting a 90 at the end of the drain line.... but still didnt work

the problem is that since u have the pipe going straight up and down, it has too much velocity. If u were to slope the angle of the entire pipe it would slow down the water and reduce the splashing

I dont have much room to slope the angle , maybe before I cut the drian line I could have looped it or something. as you can see the skimmer takes up most of that section of the sump. You think the overflow box with LR will cause a problem down the road.?????
