Why might my new RBTA be hiding under the rocks, resting on the sandbed? It seems healthy, fully inflated, good color, and no injuries that I can see (it did have a small tear when I got it, but seems to have healed.) Could there be too much flow in my tank? I have a JBJ 1600GPH wavemaker in the tank that cycles every 45 seconds. It does a GREAT job of keeping my rock and substrate clean. I've got an EHEIM 1260 for a return, but it's dialed way back, probably to under 300GPH. I find with the wavemaker, I don't need that much turnover in my 75, and I like giving my fuge a lower flow and my skimmer "time to work".
I recently redid my aquascape because there's ich in my tank, and I'm doing a fallow period which has just begun. There's another BTA in the tank, a green one, that doesn't hide, but it's also far smaller and less affected by the currents in my tank.
I'm not really experienced with large anemones like this one. "His" foot is sort of "tangled up" in the rockwork, buried deep in the crevice between 3 rocks. Could he be "stuck"?
