New lawnmower blenny not active in tank, sitting in corner

I just bought a new lawnmower blenny today and acclimated him, ph was within .1 from bag to my quarantine tank, i temp adjusted by floating the bag, and then the salinity was a little different. 1.027 for the bags water and 1.023 for mine so i decided to take another 30 minutes and drip acclimate him then released him in my quarantine tank.

It has been about 5 hours and he has sat in the bottom left corner of the tank not moving the entire time. He was pretty active in the bag on the ride home, and in the acclimation bowl, but now he isn't moving at all.

The quarantine tank is cycled and the paramaters are as follows:

ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 20
salinity 1.023

There is about 4 peices of pvc elbows in the tank for him to hide, and im just nervous that he hasn't moved at all. Is it normal for him to be completely staitonary, not eating any algea or trying to hide in the pipe?

I would give him time to adjust. When I got my bicolor blenny, he sat in the corner or behind the heater for several days before he decided to come out. I think they are very sensitive to changes in environment.

I have not had good luck with blennies. I've tried having two of them on separate occasions and lost both of them during the QT process. The first one wouldn't eat and died. The second one wouldn't eat for 3 days then on the 4th day was eating and seemed to be doing great, when I checked on him the 5th day and it was dead.

I don't know if they are a very fragile fish and just don't do well from the stresses of shipping and being put in a QT tank, or if I have just had back luck so far. I would love to get a lawnmower blenny in my DT though!

Quick update: Being that I've already lost one blenny (RIP Scruffy) during quarantine because he wouldn't eat, and that I only have two clowns and a four stripe damsel (getting rid of him) in my DT so far I took the risk of putting him in. He perked up immediately. And today (day 2) he is buzzing around the tank, eating algea, swimming, and seeming to be really happy. So maybe he just hated the lack of sand, rock, etc.
