new led light ideas for christmas gift

Hi all

ok wife has asked me for gift ideas.now i want to go to led lights over my 8 ft tank but dont want to break her bank.I would like to keep it around 600 to 800 if possible
now i have looked at the black boxes but there are so many to choose from i really would love the kessil but that would be way out of her range lol.I have the new apex for a controllier
I am moving towards sps

If the tank is up and running with lights, replace part of your lighting for Christmas with a fixture you really want, instead of a MarsAqua or similar you want to replace later.0

ocean revive leds are $200 cover 24x24.go to either triton marine or salty critter they have all kinds of led setup you can see what u like
 
I have been running Mars Aqua LEDs over my 75g and have had good success with them, great color and coral froth. I will most likely go with the 30” 300watt Mars Aqua LEDs for my new upgrade, tank dimensions are 8’x3’x18”. I will be running 4 of them over the new tank. I think they run $189.00ea online.
 
Check out the video that BRS did recently that reviews the "black box" LED setups, I thought it was well done and covers the pros and cons. It should help you to better decide on which direction you want to go.
