I finally got it all together! I replaced my Hamiltons with lumenarc reflectors, 12k Reeflux bulbs, and 400w Coralvue ballasts, I also added an Icecap 660 w/ 4 t5s for dawn and dusk effects. I really like the way it all turned out, and wanted to share some pics.

I wanted to be able to slide the Lumenarcs side to side a little so I could put more or less light on certain corals in the tank. Here is the custom welded aluminum rack, I put 1/4'' x 3'' acrylic on the sides to hold the reflectors with no light blockage.

This is the rack with the t5 end caps and a wiring mess

I eventually want to add an electric wench on a switch to move the whole rack up and down, but for now I can very easily lift the whole rack with one arm and change the length on the chain. This unit is very light, I would guess reflectors and all weigh less than 40lbs

I would have to guess he has them just sitting in that frame, so he can slide them back and forth. I like it. How much did the frame run you?

Looks great, how are the Lumenarcs attached to the frame?

Thanks, they sit on the acrylic, I used a nylon bolt on each side to extend into the lumenarc edge so they would not fall off of the rack. You can see them in the picture with the wires everywhere.

The frame itself was around $100. I added another $45-50 in hardware. It's hard to belive how fast stainless steel nuts and bolts add up so quick!
