New lion

Been looking for one of these guys for awhile now, was at a LFS I don't usually go to just happened to be in the area. Was in QT for 2 weeks, and eating frozen, haven't tried too hard since I got him, wanting to give him a day or two of rest before starting but saw him eating mysis out of the water column.

I also got a teeny tiny fuzzy dwarf, that has been hiding in the back. But also eating from the column which was nice to see with one this small. I don't have a size comparison shot, but its about the size of a dime, fins and all, maybe a touch bigger but not by much.

Kindly ignore the fact that these are camera shots and the hair algae in the last picture...

COOLNESS dood!

We've been lovin' our little radiata. It's been rooming with a juvie S. diabolus, and it eats like a champ.

I just LOVE tiny lionfish, esp. fuzzies. I have to say that if I had to recommend one lionfish, it would be the fuzzy, hands down.

Can't wait for more pix and updates.

Yea, when I got my first fuzzy, I thought they were cool but thought there were better ones out there...I'm up to 4 now, and plan on setting up fuzzy only tank since I "accidently" got a male fuzzy that my other male didn't like, and couldn't return him. Darn, oh well. He was also a little guy but not nearly this little.

They are so beautiful! I was so close to getting a Radiata couple months ago...but it was crazy expensive, and every time I went in to look at it, it was looking worse and worse. Couldn't drop a lot of money on a sick fish that I didn't know how to fix...

Anyways, nice lions! How big did you say the Radiata was?

The Radiata is about 3-4inches total length.

I've always seen these for much more than he was going for, usually locally $100+, that's if they've gotten them in and usually they're never eating frozen. This guy was $60, and eating and active, so not much of a choice on weather or not to get him. Don't regret it and still smile when I see him swimming about.

Awesome Radiata and fuzzy!!! Never had a Radiata, always wanted one but haven't found one in good health yet. Hope he does well for you.

Nothing like a baby fuzzy!! Best fish in the world!!!!! ;-)
