New Long Term Project

Well against my better judgement I bought a 150 tank and stand from fkdenton. I am not going to be doing anything but planning for the next six months probably. I have too many projects going right now. At least that is what my wife says. She says she wants her bathroom (that is completely gutted) done before I can touch this tank.

It will be going into this hole with a little bit of moving and cutting of the bar.

The plans so far are to drill some holes in the back. I am going to put in an overflow and closed loop.

I was planning on a sump return pump of about 1000 to 1500 gph.

For the closed loop I was thinking of a dart with an OM 4-way. I have done some reading on the OM 4-ways but does anyone have some first hand experience with the products? I do not want to buy one and it only last for six months and quit.

I am open to info I will be planning and reading up on stuff untill at least next winter.

yeh the tank has made a few switch a roos. if anyone needs a stand let me know i wil be building it into the wall so a custom stand will have to be made.

That white Stand looks nice! Is that just a Reg stand by Oceanic Painted.. Looks good in the pics.. never thought about a White stand before.

But I don't need one either.. What size is it?

It's 4X2. My friend got it and it was painted pink for a girls room and that didn't work too well for him so he painted it white. I think it was repainted again since I had it.

the stand is in good shape. i think it looks nice painted white. i just am not going to use it because the tank is being built into a wall. i also bought a Iwaki MD70RLT pump today for my return. pump.

So you friend bought it from you when it was Pink, and he painted it white? Was it on your side of the bed?

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! My friend originally got the tank/stand/filters/and huge fish from some guy they met at Castlewood state park. THAT guy had it in his daughters room and it was painted pink. Then he moved it to his house for a freshwater and painted it white. I traded a stratolounger leather(psuedoleather) back massaging shiatsu recliner to him for it. Then I decided I didn't want to go through the hassle for just an increase of 6" in footprint and I'd just go look for a bigger one. I'm buying Rena's this weekend I think. It will give me the 6" extra depth but 2 ft longer as well. That tank just moved into my garage for less than a week and right out into fkdenton's truck. So I didn't even have even hidden pink set up in my house much less pink that shows! :lol: Nobody phobic here!

I dont remember anyone mentioning the hidden pink to me. That would have killed the sale.
