Well, we brought it home almost a week ago now and it's been out and eating almost every day. we tried it on the rock work and it held on until the flow was turned back and and either it didn't like the rocks or just hated the flow cause he let go. gave us a little scare since it landed directly on our open brain, but both the nem and the brain seem to be fine.

here is what it looked like tonight

i think it's looking pretty healthy, is my opinion look correct? this is our first anemone so any tips would be great. thanks for looking.

Yeah, it looks good. Looks like it has dug in. They like a deep sand bed. They will move if it isn't deep enough. LTAs are fine with moderate water movement. They need bright light, PC, T-5 or MH should be fine.

It looks happy to me..it would probably be happier in deeper sand but if it doesn't move..no worries. Feed it once a week with mysis shrimp, squid, silversides, raw shrimp or scallops. In no time your lta will be just as big as mine.

i think the sand is a little deeper than i thought. it's some where between 1.5-3 inches. i can sweep some more sand up towards the nem if i need to, but i don't think i bother it unless it starts to try to move

Beautiful LTA Christina.

Pheeshes, yours might start to move in that shallow of sand, but wait and see. If it does move, then you can make a deeper spot for it.
