Sweet.. I just got a Sony Cybershot H5 ... I was thinking about getting a Macro lens but wasn't sure if it would make a big difference or not. Especially since it is $150.00.

Can you post comparison shots?

There's a general principal for art in general; however it apllies to photography, at its most basic it would be deemed the rule of thirds. Basically stated if you were to divide your FINAL image like a tic-tac-toe board your subject of interest should not reside squarely in the envied center square. I'm sure ther's lot's of good stuff online if you do a search.

ok i sorta gotcha, yea ive beem searching and taking pics, kinda difficult to find a pic that you really like, or a great photo subject

That's a great place to start though- find pictures you like and try to figure out how they were made, or ask how they were made if you can contact the photographer. Critiques can be extremely helpful when they are constructive and done by someone who has experience and skill. There's a lot to learn regarding composition- the rule of thirds is a great starting point.
