New Maroon Clown

I just bought a maroon clown last Saturday and brought him home. He has a torn fin on the bottom and top. I put some Melafix in the qt for 3 days, then I noticed he's got white patches on him under his lip and around his gills. I also noticed his poop is white. Are these worms? Kind of looks like something is burrowed under his skin on his face around his gill. I put coppersafe in but is this the right treatment? Please help as I really like him and haven't had much luck when it come's to clown's.

Sounds like it could be Brooklynella( clown fish disease ), treat with Formalin and Malachite green based med. Copper will do nothing for this condition.
