New millipora question

Hello all, so I have finally purchased my first SPS frag. A pink millipora for 10.00 bucks at my LFS 2 days ago. The guy said millipora are pretty easy SPS corals to start off with. My question is, how long does it usually take for the polyps to start to extend? I glued it to my rock higher in my tank with good flow and lights. My parameters are:

ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate <0.75
phosphate 0.02
calcium 420
magnesium 1520 (seems kind of high to me, reef crystals salt)
Alkalinity 7.2

Will it take a few days for this coral to get used to my tank? My LPS's are doing fantastic so I was wondering if I should be concerned or not.

takes a while, maybe a month. parameters look good, mag tests are unreliable. what is good lights and flow?

I'm using Kessil a160 LED lights and the corals positioned in the top 25% of the tank. I'm using a Jebao wave maker seems to be shooting pretty good water flow right at it, also, my return pump, and a second Koralia power head opposite the Jebao.

I'd go for a slightly higher Dkh, probably 8-9. They are indeed one of the more easy sps to keep. They take on a hairy appearance in their full glory. My Pink/brown Millie is probably my fastest growing sps...and that's even amongst birdsnest and montipora digitata.

As with any sps, ensure your parameters stay consistent. Doing that will make it thrive. They do love a lot of random flow.

should be fine...i would disagree, however, on millipora being "easy". i would start with a birds nest, green slimmer, or montipora; but at $10 not much lost. many LFS chop maricultured millis up and sell for cheap, and they seldom make it.

Millepora are considered "moderately" difficult to keep. Regardless, they aren't difficult like their acropora cousins.

I run kalkwasser out of my ATO and ever since my SPS did remarkably better by having more consistent parameters along with higher ph.

maybe "moderate", but it is an acropora: acropora millepora. however the "chopshop" one are almost always goners. OP, if it dies try and aquacultured sps grown under LEDs.
