New MP60 not working

I'm setting up a new tank that will have 2 MP40s and an MP60. Today I tried installing the MP60. I got everything mounted and started up. It was making a lot of racket, both a low-frequency hum and a rattling noise. I managed to get rid of most of the hum by playing with the alignment, but then the rattling all of a sudden got very loud, then disappeared and the output (water flow) went _way_ down.

I powered it down and pulled the wet side off. I noticed a noise when turning the propeller by hand, and then discovered that the noise also occurred simply by shaking the wet side.

I'm guessing there's a problem , but figured I'd check here first in case I missed something.

Forgot to add, after the rattling got real bad I tried power cycling. After restoring power, it wouldn't start, it would just flash between red and green.

Call EcoTech tomorrow.........something is not right. I have six MP60s on my reef, and none of them have acted like that. If they cannot talk you through correcting the issue, they'll make it right.

It does sound like that wetside could be having an issue. Please call in today when you are able to further troubleshoot the issue.
